Alan M. Laskin
Alan M. Laskin is a trial lawyer, who practices in the areas of personal injury, insurance bad faith and elder abuse. Mr. Laskin has been practicing in the Sacramento area since 1990. Since that time he has tried over 35 cases to jury verdict. He has tried cases in Sacramento County, San Francisco County, Stanislaus County, Alameda County, Placer County, Solano County and Portland, Oregon. Different from most personal injury lawyers who settle their cases, Mr. Laskin is a fighter and never recommends settlement unless he believes his client is being treated fairly by the insurance company. In 2008, Mr. Laskin was invited by his peers to become a member of the prestigious organization of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

EDUCATION
Mr. Laskin earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of the Pacific in 1986 and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 1989.

APPOINTMENTS:

Settlement Conference Judge:

Mr. Laskin sits as a Judge Pro Tem in the Settlement Department of the Sacramento County Superior Court where he acts as a Settlement Conference Judge. He has had great success in assisting parties to resolve their cases with out the need of having to go to trial.

Arbitrator:

Mr. Laskin is on the panels of Yolo County, Sacramento County, Placer County, Monterey County and San Joaquin County where he acts as an Arbitrator.

Private Mediator:

Mr. Laskin is often retained by private parties to mediate cases which cannot be resolved with out the assistance of a neutral third party.

MEMBERSHIPS and LICENSES:

Mr. Laskin is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, the Sacramento County Bar Association and ABOTA.
